One-off Dev Inc. · Breathe Free
Terms of Service
Effective October 14, 2026
In short, Breathe Free is a one-off. You may use it for yourself, as it is, with no promise of updates or support. It’s a breathing aid, not medical advice.
These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and One-off Dev Inc. (“we”, “us”) about Breathe Free: the apps for Mac and Android, the browser version at one-off.dev/breathe-free/web, and the Breathe Free pages on one-off.dev. By downloading, installing or using Breathe Free, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use it.
A one-off, as-is license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install and use Breathe Free on devices you own or control.
Breathe Free is a one-off: a small app, made with care and released as it stands. The license is for the app as it is when you get it. We don’t promise updates, fixes, new features or support, or that any version will stay available or keep working on future devices and systems. If we do release an update, these terms cover it too.
The source code
Breathe Free’s source code is published at github.com/lucasdickey/breathe-free under the MIT License. That license, not these terms, governs what you may do with the source code. These terms cover the apps as we build and distribute them.
Using it safely
Breathe Free is an aid for relaxing and pacing your breath. It isn’t a medical device, and it doesn’t diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
- Holding your breath can make some people light-headed. If you feel dizzy, short of breath or unwell, stop and breathe normally.
- If you have a heart or lung condition, are pregnant, or aren’t sure it’s right for you, ask a doctor first.
- Don’t use it while driving, in water, or while doing anything else that needs your full attention.
What’s ours
One-off Dev Inc. owns the names Breathe Free and One-off Dev, and the Breathe Free icon. Neither this license nor the MIT License lets you use them to name or promote anything of your own.
No warranty
Breathe Free is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don’t promise that it will be free of errors, always available, or right for your needs.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, One-off Dev Inc. won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Breathe Free or your being unable to use it. Our total liability for any claim about Breathe Free is limited to the greater of what you paid for it, if anything, and US$50.
Some places don’t allow some of these exclusions or limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law where you live that can’t be waived by agreement.
App stores
If you get Breathe Free from the Mac App Store or Google Play, that store’s terms apply as well. From the Mac App Store, that includes Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple and Google aren’t parties to these terms and aren’t responsible for Breathe Free or for supporting it.
Ending
You can stop using Breathe Free at any time by deleting it. If you break these terms, your license ends, and you need to stop using Breathe Free and delete it.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page, and using Breathe Free after that means you accept them. How we handle data (we don’t collect any) is in the Privacy Policy.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law.
