In Fusion 360 the mug gets real numbers: 95 mm tall, 3 mm handle. CAD is where a drawing becomes a thing a machine can make.

3D-print it before lunch

Four hours later you're holding your drawing. This moment never stops being magic — and it's where problems start introducing themselves.

Hand it to five people

Three of them say the same thing unprompted: the handle digs into their fingers. Then someone's actually snaps. Nobody is upset — this is the loop doing its job.

Handle too thin: uncomfortable, and it cracked. Back to sketching.

Lap two: fatter handle, more knuckle room

Version two gets a generous handle you can actually hang fingers through. It looks friendlier already — comfort usually does.

Print again, test again

The handle is a hit. But on the wobbly café tables you tested on, tall-and-narrow turns out to be tippy. New problem — that's progress, honestly.

Comfortable now, but it tips too easily. One more lap.

Lap three: plant its feet

You widen the base so the mug stands its ground. Small change on paper; completely different object in the hand.

This one, people don't hand back

Comfortable, stable, and it looks inevitable — like it couldn't have been any other way. That feeling is what three laps of the loop buys.

Ship it. Total time: one week. Total versions: three. Totally normal.
